GENERAL SYNOPSIS: ON BOARD THE TRES HOMBRES
WIND SPD:3-4 Bf
As the days pass by, the continental plate is coming closer. We made about eight hundred miles since we left the Acores.
At the chart on the navigation table you can already see the European coastline . Last days were very cold and wet.
A warm cup of tea or coffee or a cup soup is giving some relief during the watch. ¨Take as much rest as possible and eat well¨, is the captains advice.
In the galley you can hear conversations about home. Also some small frustrations, unspoken of before, start to come to light.
These are the moments that you notice we all help each other. For a nice time we want to have. As we are sailing in every wind and weather, this also reflects back to us. In the end, good or bad weather does not exist. It is just the way it is. Together we are running this man made machine by the power of muscle, mind and heart. One direction we have to go, Forward it shall be!!!
The easterly winds makes the clouds disappear, a beautiful night with a sky full of twinkling stars. It makes everybody start shining again. Next days we have to tack our way east. A salty spray from the bow, a clear bleu sky and stars in the night will be our scenery.
The ship with her sails, she will be our refuge.
