Adventure

Timbercoast

With the ADVENTURE, Timbercoast Cargo under Sail has been sailing goods across the Atlantic Ocean virtually emission-free since 2016.

The gaff schooner, built in 1920, has a total loading capacity of 114 tons and can therefore carry more than 100 tons of cargo. The ship sails regularly between Germany, France,
the Canary Islands, the Caribbean, South, Central and North America and the Azores.

In addition to the permanent crew, the 44-meter-long sailing ship offers space for no fewer than ten fellow sailors who want to travel actively and sustainably.

The Hamburg-based freight shipping project, together with an international network of trading partners in organic coffee, cocoa and spirits, supports the goal of making maritime transport sustainable, socially just, environmentally and climate-friendly. Work is being done on a sustainable generation of sailing freight ships as an alternative to conventional maritime transport.
