“Ron Y Miel” with La Palma bee honey!
Our rum partner in La Palma is Destilerias Aldea (1936), this family business stands for unquestionable quality, craftsmanship & tradition.
‘La Palmera Ron Y Miel’ is made from local organic sugarcane juice. The rum has been distilled in an 80-year old, wood fired copper kettle and rests for a few months. In June 2015 she has been mixed with local bee honey and aged for 1,5 years on white oak casks.
For the final aging process, ‘La Palmera Ron Y Miel’ joined the Tres Hombres for a journey of 7 months over the Atlantic Ocean.
This traditional process gives the rum a sweet, fresh and spicy tongue. Unlike Ron Miel (honey rum) this “Ron Y Miel” is less sweet and filled with 45% considerably so that the traditional character of the rum remains intact.
