Tres Hombres Rum Ed. 34, taste the tropical Dominican sun
The ‘Tres Hombres Ed. 034 Republica Dominicana’ from Oliver & Oliver is aged according to the solera system, which means that older and younger rums are mixed to a final product with an average age.
In this case, the average age of the premium Republica Dominicana rum is 18 years (!) in former bourbon casks.
On top of this mixed aging process on land, the rum has undergone a second aging of 4 months in used Madeira barrels, while being transported overseas from the Dominican Republic to Amsterdam.
The latter adds the exquisite taste that makes this rum unique to its kind.
The aroma initially has strong hints of caramelized orange and dark chocolate, which later on provides notes of oak and vanilla.
In terms of taste, you will find notes of vanilla, caramel, white chocolate, yellow fruit, pudding and Madeira wine, that all melt together on a foundation of oak to form the most exciting palate!
