Elle \u00e9tait tranquille et doucement roul\u00e9e sur le quai. Pourtant, simultan\u00e9ment, elle criait quelque chose que je n&#039;arrivais pas \u00e0 comprendre \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0, mais qui me paraissait important et r\u00e9el. J&#039;\u00e9tais curieux.<br \/>\nMonter \u00e0 bord pour la premi\u00e8re fois, en tant que visiteur, \u00e9tait \u00e9trange. C&#039;\u00e9tait comme entrer dans l&#039;ancienne maison de quelqu&#039;un. Il y avait une histoire dans chaque planche de bois, un personnage dans chaque corde. Un par un, j&#039;ai pu rencontrer l&#039;\u00e9quipage. Ils partageaient des rides sal\u00e9es, des mains durcies et des v\u00eatements d\u00e9chir\u00e9s. Ils parlaient de baleines, de temp\u00eates et d&#039;histoires de pirates ; mais leurs yeux avaient vu des choses qu&#039;ils ne pouvaient pas exprimer et que je ne pouvais m\u00eame pas commencer \u00e0 imaginer. Leur rire \u00e9tait vif et fort, mais leur regard \u00e9tait vif et s\u00e9rieux. Qu\u2019ont-ils appris ? Je devais savoir.<br \/>\nJe n&#039;ai jamais navigu\u00e9 auparavant. J&#039;ai le vertige. Je serais inutile sur le pont ou sur le m\u00e2t. Mais j&#039;ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 cuisin\u00e9.
