GENERAL SYNOPSIS: ON BOARD THE TRES HOMBRES
We finally left Santa Cruz te La Palma and well with a little help of some friends with a dingy and our own dingy we set our sail in the harbour and caught the wind just outside the entrance. Our delay was due to the lack of wind of the last days. We used the spare time to buy more food and possible things we might need along the way. The ship is well stocked up with delicious fruits and vegetables from this beautiful Island La Palma. Some of us has seen and went around the island with bus or car. It is all green and with mountain and winding roads. On the highest point 2500 is an are different space observatories. The stars are very near in the night I can tell. The West coast coast of the Island is one of the most sunniest places of the island. Here and there are black beaches. The local food is so lekker fresh and all over the island you see people grow there own food. They even produce there own beer of organic ingredients. It was a little heaven for us being here. And now since 3 years we take organic rum from the Island around the Atlantic and becomes our own Tres Hombres La Palma Rum 15 years old.

Tomorrow we celebrate Sunday and have time to relax and read a book or paint and make a cake. I might open a bottle of rum if the sun is below the yardarms.
It’s around lunch time, the Tres Hombres is moored in the marina at Le Marin, Martinique. We have just crossed the Atlantic ocean, and here we are unloading wine we have brought from France, and some empty barrels to be filled with rum. My job for the morning was the ship’s laundry, and I have […]
At 15° N, 48°W this is about 3 hours after European midnight. The full moon enlightens our smooth passage towards the west, but we have one thing in common, no fireworks will shatter the night sky above us. Surely we will raise the glass to welcome another year, as we, no more than anyone else, […]
