Description
Brigantes Coffee Classico Blend No. 2 is a delicious organic coffee composed of 50% arabica and 50% robusta beans. This coffee is transported by sailing cargo ship.
The coffee is 100% organically certified by Austria Biogarantee AT 301. It consists of half Colombian arabica beans and the other half Mexican robusta beans. A fair price is paid to the farmers.
The Colombian arabica beans (50%) come from the ASOPRO region in Chimila, Sierra Nevada, at altitudes between 1000 and 1800 meters. The farmers belong to the indigenous Chimila people. Coffee cultivation is the most important sector of local agriculture. This coffee has an incomparably delicious and aromatic taste.
The Mexican robusta beans (50%) come from ENSEMBLE from the Chiapas region, at altitudes between 600 and 1800 meters. ENSEMBLE brings small farming families and collectives together. When processing these beans, the skins are left on the seed after removing the outer layer during the wet process, resulting in higher quality coffee.
The coffee will be shipped by sailing ship (March-June 2021) with the AVONUUR & GALLANT. The roasting and open cooling of the beans takes place at Torrefazione Chelotti Caffè in Buggiano, Italy. This coffee has an exceptionally spicy and floral aroma, subtle citrus notes on the tongue and finishes with roasted hazelnuts.
The shelf life of this Brigantes Coffee blend No. 2 is 18 months, and the beans are hand-picked, washed, sun-dried and hand-selected.
