GENERAL SYNOPSIS: ON BOARD THE TRES HOMBRES
CURRENT DIR: SW
AIR PRESS: 1026
Living in the most natural sea rhythm again we sail smoothly towards the Pas de Calais. Wood is being painted, holes are drilled, tar is applied as well as leather, grease and linseed oil. All the crew acts as if they are onboard for years, also the cook who is stirring lots of love into the food. All sails are set and swing around many times throughout the day as the wind commands. With the last bit of cargo in the hold she feels very light and steers like a little yacht. The trainee crew of steelworkers, towboat machinists, lorry drivers, artists, students and many more is getting slowly in the ban of this ship. What’s waiting now are shipping lanes, many of them, and some south west wind. We will cross them, many times, and many times the steam will have to give way for the sail. If this will ever stop, we will still find other ways to fight for our right to exist and to sail and not to pollute.
