Sailing to the Sun by officer on watch François Mangin Deville

Polar star on starboard, down winds for a will, all sails up,
even the little square one from our new sailing dinghy “tres niños II”, an “optimist” donated by Breton sailing cargo friends.
And the Sun slowly rising up from port side aft.
A good morning on Tres Hombres.

After the stormy north sea
The busy English channel
The Douarnenez wine loading
The quick sailing down Portugal trade wind to La Palma
Then along the Sahara to Capo Verde

We are smoothly following the course of the Sun to the west Caribbean island
Or maybe it’s the earth witch is turning underneath the hull

Anyway, the maintenance on board never stops
It´s perfect weather for painting and fighting the rust

At the next watch shift the Sun is high in the sky
No more shade on deck
A nice fresh salad served by our cookie Rianne is welcome
The Capo Verde water melons are delicious

Full of energy, the ingoing watch continue painting
Until the Sun met the Ocean just right in front of the bow
Lightning the squares sails with all variation of red color

What a wonderful view
What a wonderful day on board

Francois
